Before making the trip to the Netherlands, to compete in the Assen Moto2 Grand Prix, the Marc VDS drivers traveled to Belgium where the famous Spa 24 Hours car race was held. The aim of the approach is to support their counterparts at Boutsen VDS, who will be lined up at the start of this race.
The pilots Marc VDS were in the spotlight last week in Belgium, since they joined the four-wheeled vehicles on the occasion of the drivers' parade of the 24 Hours of Spa, a GT World Challenge Endurance motor race, organized each year on the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, which celebrates its centenary in 2024.
Thus, Filip Salac and Tony Arbolino joined the drivers of the Boutsen VDS team to parade through the streets of the Ardennes, before engaging in a meeting session with the fans. The event allowed the two men to have their Moto2 photo taken in a setting that was unusual to say the least.
Sam Lowes, Marc VDS rider in the Superbike world championship, naturally joined the teammates to live the experience alongside them.
The meeting took place last Wednesday, before the start of hostilities in Assen, and started from the circuit itself at around 16:30 p.m. (local time). The parade then ended in the city center of Spa around 17:40 p.m., when the drivers approached the Place Royale de Spa to meet fans for autograph and photo sessions.
Such an initiative had already been taken during the previous edition of the race, and was rather well received, which was also the case in 2024.
The opportunity to look back in pictures on this day which preceded an eventful weekend on the track, during which the Marc VDS drivers tried to confirm their recent progress. As a reminder, Valentino Rossi also took part in the Belgian double round of the clock with BMW, under the colors of Team WRT. The No. 46 thus recorded its third consecutive participation in the 24 Hours of Spa, after the 2022 and 2023 editions.
