Ideal conditions in the Algarve on the Portimao track in Portugal where the sun came out for the weekend as the last event of the 2020 Moto2 season took place.

A season where nothing is yet decided as to who will be titled world champion. The game is not over, there are still four drivers who can claim the world crown: Enea Bastianini who is the leader of this ranking with 194 points to his name. Sam Lowes, the British who is second and who has 180 points. Let us recall in passing that the driver Marc VDS is physically affected, the latter having fallen during the last GP in Valencia and having injured his right wrist. It looks complicated even if we know that the latter is tough. Finally, among this ranking to conquer the title, we find the two teammates of the VR46, Luca Marini who is third with 176 points and Marco Bezzecchi which mathematically can still dream of the Holy Grail with its 171 points.

This morning, during FP3 it was Remy gardner who was the fastest, ahead of Enea Bastianini et Marcos Ramirez. Sam Lowes fell but still managed to qualify painfully for Q2. Luca marini finished fourth in the session and Marco Bezzecchi 15e.

This qualifying session will take place in time: a fifteen-minute Q1 session where four drivers will be selected to fight with the fourteen drivers (Remy Gardner, Hector Garzo, Marcos Ramirez, Luca Marini, Aron Canet, Augusto Fernandez, Enea Bastianini, Xavi Virgo, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Sam Lowes, Joe Roberts, Tetsuta Nagashima, Lorenzo Baldassari and Jorge Navarro) who are already qualified this morning for Q2.
