Moto2 Qatar Race: Fermin Aldeguer puts things straight!

During this Qatar Grand Prix, 19th of 20 stages in the Moto2 category scheduled in Losail, Fermin Aldeguer (Beta Tools SpeedUp) dominated head and shoulders all the sessions in which he participated, except the qualification, settling for 4th time behind a trio separated by only 21 thousandths!

The one we're talking about to go to MotoGP at the VR46, if Luca marini will do well in his 2024 season in the official Honda team, as rumor has it and “Uccio” has half-confirmed it, will therefore have to start behind a front row made up of Joe Roberts (Italtrans Racing Team), Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) and  Aron canet (Pons Wegow Los40), with at his side Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) and Jake dixon (India GASGAS Aspar Team).

The very recent world champion of the series, Peter Acosta (Red Bull Ajo), composes the third row with Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing) and Manuel Gonzalez (Correos Prepago Yamaha VR46 Team), in front  Alonso lopez (Beta Tools SpeedUp), Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) and  Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia).

Obviously, all these beautiful people were in less than a second, just like Somkiat Chantra (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia) and  Zonta Van Den Goorbergh (Fieten Olie Racing GP).

To win a trophy, you will have to complete 18 laps of the 5380 meter track under the now LED floodlights, while temperatures are 26° in the air and 30° on the resurfaced asphalt.

When the red lights go out, Joe Roberts maintains the advantage of its pole position in front Celestino Vietti et Fermin Aldeguer already moved up to third place.

A few turns further, this one makes a first attack on Celestine Vietti but loses a place in the fight to the benefit of a Aron canet which quickly moves into second position.

Perhaps destabilized by this episode, the SpeedUp driver made a mistake and fell back to ninth place.

Meanwhile, Aron canet took the lead, no doubt hoping to end the curse; he never saw him win despite 18 podiums achieved.

After three rounds, we find in the lead a quartet composed ofAron Canet, Joe Roberts, Jake Dixon and Manuel Gonzalez, detached by a second on the peloton led by Tony Arbolino.

In subsequent rounds, Tony Arbolino et Fermin Aldeguer try to escape from the little train to catch up with the four leading men. It is the Spaniard who tackles the task by reducing the gap which separates him from Manuel Gonzalez.

The junction is made 12 laps from the finish, allowing even Ai Ogura, Somkiat Chantra, Celestino Vietti and Pedro Acosta to hang up the wagons.

Fermin Aldeguer don't stay there and then go beyond Jake dixon to take 12th place in the wheelAron canet.

What was supposed to happen happened and the number 54 took the lead 10 laps from the checkered flag to immediately set a higher pace.

Suddenly, the gap jumped to the rate of one second per lap for the orange Boscoscuro, beforeAron canet does not react and accelerates to stabilize it.

After the halfway point, Fermin Aldeguer continues to line up the fastest laps in the race to increase his advantage to a second and a half with six laps to go.

Manuel Gonzalez takes second place ahead Aron canet who does not seem to be able to react, just like Jake dixon a little further and now within firing rangeAi Ogura.

Two laps from the finish, Fermin Aldeguer seems to have things well in hand with a lead of 1,7 seconds, to head towards his third consecutive success.

The end of the race is driven by overtaking between Aron Canet and Manuel Gonzalez on the one hand, Ai Ogura and Jake Dixon the other.
