Jorge Martín won for the first time in his career during the Austrian Grand Prix, on the Red Bull Ring track, ahead of Luca Marini and Marcel Schrötter. Here are their post-race statements.

Jorge Martín (1st): “I'm very happy with how the weekend went. After many races, we are finally back on the top step of the podium. It was a tricky race as we had to stop with the red flag and restart after waiting for a while. I am satisfied with our performance throughout the Grand Prix. We must continue on this path, pass milestones and be ready for a new round this weekend. »

Luca marini (2th): “I got a good start every time. During the first, I closed the gap and I had a good feeling. Then the second start was even better but Jorge was faster all weekend. Next weekend we will take a step forward with the team, who have already done an excellent job today. »

Marcel Schrötter (3th): “We've just had a really tough few weeks, even though we weren't that far behind in terms of speed. But there was always something wrong, I didn't feel comfortable and I lost confidence, even when our times were good. It hasn't been an easy time for the whole team. The Moto2 field is so tight that we can't afford to make the slightest mistake. We had a solid weekend during which we made a lot of progress. The two races we did today were good, and to be on the podium, to be able to give something to the team to thank them for all the work they've done, is of course a great feeling. There are a lot of sacrifices behind it, we are all together on the roads, I had my arm operation, so it's even better to be able to reward that with a podium. In the second race I was hoping to have a chance to do even more because I felt even more comfortable than in the first start but the race was complicated throughout and third place was very important for all of us. »
