The British rider was the big absentee from the last Moto2 pre-season test which was held at Losail over the last three days, and is still in doubt for the first GP of the year.

Sam Lowes was unable to take part in the very last Moto2 test, like the one before in Jerez. He had to remain at home convalescing after an injury to his right shoulder that he contracted during private tests. If his participation in the Qatar test was immediately ruled out, uncertainty still remains regarding his participation in the first Grand Prix of the season, on the same Losail circuit, in a week.

“I will go to Qatar next week”, did he declare. “In the last few days we have worked hard and I have done a lot of physiotherapy. Honestly, I feel better every day, but I have to be a little more patient before I can successfully ride a motorcycle. I am focused on the first Grand Prix, it would be a victory to be able to participate after this injury. I'm going to try, I can't wait for the championship to start! »
