It is with Raul Fernandez who has been on the rise since the last Austrian Grand Prix that Moto2 presents itself at Silverstone for its last free practice session before qualifying. The Ajo KTM rider thus puts pressure on his teammate Remy Gardner, championship leader with 19 points ahead of him. The fact remains that in this English meeting it is also a certain Jorge Navarro who we will have to watch. Faster during FP1, he could have confirmed on Friday afternoon if his performance had not been crossed out because of a yellow flag...

Raul fernandez therefore finished the first day at Silverstone in the lead. Behind him are Navarro, Lowes and its namesake Augusto Fernandez. Gardner, Fabio Di Giannantonio et Marco Bezzecchi, who fell at the end of FP2, follow in 5th, 6th and 7th. Joe Roberts, Nicolò Bulega et Aron canet complete the top 10. Tom Luthi remained in the top 14 over the course of FP1.

It will be recalled that the first 14 drivers from the three combined free practice sessions will automatically progress to Q2, all other drivers will have to go to Q1 on Saturday afternoon, where the last four places in Q2 will be allocated.

What will this English FP3 have in store for us? Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.
