Jake Dixon signed the best performance in the third free practice session in the Moto2 category at Silverstone, the track where the 12th round of the 2022 World Championship is scheduled for Sunday. The Aspar Team rider set the best lap in 2'04.107, a time which allowed him to beat Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by 0.401s.

Third time for the KalexAron canet, followed byAi Ogura (Team Asia), Bo Bendsneyder (SAG), Alonso lopez (SpeedUp) and Albert Arenas (Aspar). The American Cameron Beaubier (American Racing), Joe Robert (ItalTrasn) and Celestine Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) close the Top Ten. The Italian driver will have to serve a long lap penalty in the race for non-compliance with the practice rules of the starting procedure.

Qualified for Q2 also Filip Salac (Gresini), Jeremy Alcove (IntactGP), Marcel schrotter (IntactGP) and Tony Arbolino (SpeedUp). What will these Moto2 qualifications have in store for us? Before you know it, here is the table that summarizes the facts known so far.

Manuel Gonzalez signs the first reference in 2'04.880. He is followed by Navarro, Baltus et Aldeguer. the latter is excluded from the top 4 by Dallas Port. But he comes back third…

Moving on to Q2: Navarro, Gonzalez, Zaccone et Chantra. Disappointment for Aldeguer, only sixth behind Dalla Porta.

Arenas accelerates in 2'04.386 and despite the advice, Dixon crash at turn 14. He was eighth. Fernandez reacts in 2'04.130. We're in the last five minutes, when Drive, championship leader, falls. He was third.

Under the checkered flag, Augusto Fernandez achieves his second pole position in 2'04.103 ahead Joe Roberts et Ai Ogura in the running for the championship. Arenas, Vietti et Dixon are on the second line. Canet closes the top 10.
