In the Moto2 chassis family, there is a prolific Kalex family and then the exceptions Tech3 or SpeedUp. Commandos who will be joined this year by Suter on the return and especially KTM who cannot really be considered a maverick. This is, however, the case of SpeedUp led by Luca Boscoscuro who had Sam Lowes as leader in 2015, before replacing him with Simone Corsi in 2016. The Italian will be renewed this season. And yet, the boss is not happy about it!

Simone Courses is no longer really the hope in the making. Approaching 30 years old, he has been in the paddock since 2002. He has been the nightmare of Mike Di Meglio in 2008 for the 125 title, and he has been in Moto2 since the start of the category in 2010. He has nine podiums and one pole position. With a predilection for the French Grand Prix which made him participate in the flag ceremonies three times.

But it was also at the French Grand Prix that his 2016 season came to a grinding halt. A collapse that the boss could not digest Luca Boscoscuro who awaits him at the turn of the future campaign: “ I hope he starts this season like he started last. He was on the podium twice and he even had a serious chance of winning in France”.

He continues on speedweek: " if he starts the year with the same determination, it will be good. But this time, he will have to keep up the pace during the eighteen races on the calendar. And not just for the first eight or nine. That's what I expect from him. Simone is a real talent, but he has his ups and downs. He doesn't have to be fast in one race and then slow in the next. We will work on his motivation and his mentality ».

Suffice it to say that he will be closely monitored. Courses will have a young teammate namedAxel Bassani. And also a new chassis: “ Simone tested this chassis during some 2016 Grands Prix. For the March tests, we will make changes and then we will decide on the final version. Two options will present themselves to our pilots who will take the best possible ».
