The MV Agusta Temporary Forward Racing team is pleased to announce the recruitment of Simone Corsi for the 2020 Moto2 World Championship season.

The driver of Roman origin will be the teammate of Stefano Manzi of the VR46 Riders Academy and both will ride the MV Agusta F2, the motorcycle with which the prestigious Varese brand is back in the World Championship this year.

Simone began his track career in 2001 in the Italian speed championship and made his debut in the world championship in 2002, in 125cc. In 2005 he moved to the 250 category and in 2013 he became a member of the Forward Racing Team in the Moto2 category, where he remained until 2015. During these years he achieved excellent results such only 24 podiums and 9 victories.

During his 273 career races, the Italian driver has acquired great experience and sensitivity, fundamental qualities in this phase of the MV Agusta project. In the current season he has already done a test with the Italian–Swiss racing team, showing himself comfortable with the bike and with the team.

The role of RPM, the media center of Temporary SpA, title sponsor of the team, was fundamental in the agreement between the team and the driver. RPM, in fact, has succeeded in developing an interesting ethical project, which will begin with this collaboration. The CEO of Temporary, Franco Toscano, a former police officer, is also happy to be able to launch such an important initiative, which will involve the State Police, thanks also to Corsi's role as an athlete of Fiamme Oro. Simone Corsi is delighted to be part of a completely Italian project on the 75-time world champion motorcycle, sure to make an excellent contribution to the development of the motorcycle and to give everything to bring the MV Agusta brand back to the top of the world rankings.

The owner of the MV Agusta Forward Racing team, Giovanni Cuzari, and the entire team, would like to thank Swiss driver Dominique Aegerter for this great season together. Dominique, in addition to being a professional driver, worked hard throughout the season with a great spirit of cooperation, to personally contribute to the development of the MV Agusta F2, which allowed Aegerter to achieve important results from the start, who steered the team in the right direction for the steady progress made during the 2019 season. MV Agusta Temporary Forward Racing wishes the Swiss talent the best for his future, in the hope that it is only temporary .

Simone Courses : “I'm happy to be back in action in 2020 and even more so to do it with a brand as important as MV Agusta. I would like to thank Giovanni Cuzari, RPM and the whole team for the trust they have shown in me and I hope to be able to thank them in turn with results, to be able to bring the famous Italian brand MV Agusta back to the top of the rankings . I saw that in the last races the bike improved a lot, Manzi got good results, so I am even more motivated and ready for this new challenge. »

Giovanni Cuzari  : “First of all, I would like to thank Dominique Aegerter for the wonderful season spent together and for the beautiful person that he is; it's hard to find such good people. I wish him good luck for next season and hope to see him again soon. About Simone Corsi, it is a “welcome return” in the sense that he has already raced several seasons with my team and I am happy that he is coming back to race with us and with the most successful Italian brand in the world. So I welcome Simone and thank RPM, the media center of Temporary SpA and Dr. Toscano, CEO and President, for helping our team and MV Agusta realize this great project.
