After several changes in previous Grands Prix, the Pertamina SAG Moto2 team finally chose Taiga Hada to finish the Moto2 season.

From next weekend in Austria, the Japanese will race instead of gabriel rodrigo, seriously injured in the shoulder, until the end of the 2022 season. This means that Taigahada will race as a “permanent” driver for at least the next eight rounds of the championship, following Alex Toledo from Barcelona then Piotr Biesiekirski (Silverstone) in this role.

Born September 12, 1998, Taigahada has done many races in the Asian Road Racing SuperSport 600 and JSB1000 race. In 2019 he raced in Moto2 CEV and stayed there until last year achieving 8th place in the European Championship.

Taigahada has also made several appearances at the World Endurance Championship, most recently a few days ago at the Suzuka 8 Hours with the Astemo Honda Dream SI Racing team using the #1000 CBR17RR-R Fireblade with Kosuke Sakumoto et Kazuma Watanabe.

In 2022, he is active in the ST600 category of the All Japan Road Race Championship with the MotoUp Racing Team, the team of the former Moto2 rider Tetsuta nagashima.

Taigahada himself is not a new face of the GP world championship. The Japanese rider has made two appearances in Moto2, both in 2021 but without scoring a point. First with NTS RW Racing GP replacing Barry Baltus, injured, then a wild card in Austria 2021 under the banner of the Pertamina Mandalika SAG team.
