THEagreement signed last summer between the VR46 Racing Team and Fantic for the 2023 season had already been materialized by the presence of a fairly sober sticker from the Venetian manufacturer on the fairings of the Moto2 of Celestino Vietti Ramus and Niccolò Antonelli since Silverstone.

In 2023, Fantic Engine moves up a gear by imposing not only its name as the only surname of the team, but also its personnel and its organization,  Claudio Giovanardi, Manager of FANTIC Racing Division having chosen Stefano Bedon as Team Manager, while Milena Koerner, already coordinator of the FANTIC Off Road teams, will be in charge of the technical area, which will absorb the past structure of the VR46 Racing Team. while the offices of the Racing division will be located in the brand new FANTIC facilities in Santa Maria di Sala (Venice).

The livery of the Kalex – Triumph will therefore evolve accordingly, abandoning the yellow of Mooney and Bardahl, still present in MotoGP, in favor of the red and black of Fantic and the turquoise of Motorex.

It’s a press release from the Venetian manufacturer which formalizes this active partnership since January 1, 2023 and implemented from the Dakar: All production motorcycles and factory competition motorcycles from Fantic Motor will initially be equipped with Motorex products.

Mariano Roman , CEO of Fantic Motor: “ We chose Motorex for the reliability and performance of their products, resulting from over a century of experience. This is precisely why we wanted to associate our image with such an important brand for the coming years.
Fantic is a young company, but it achieves great results, both sporting and commercial, and it always wants to improve. For us, it is essential to offer the best in terms of performance and attention to detail, to produce motorcycles that can win the hearts of bikers with the help of Motorex. »

And it is the images attached to illustrate this agreement which give us a taste of the future of Moto2, based on red and black, unlike the off-road motorcycles, white and black.

As for the number 25 appearing on the fairing of the Kalex, it corresponds to Borja Gomez which replaces Niccolo Antonelli initially planned… (thank you our readers)

18 years after his first one-year attempt in GP with a 250cc equipped roughly by Franco Moro with a Suter chassis and a Yamaha 250 V2 engine, Fantic returns to the intermediate Grand Prix category with, hopefully , more success than the results obtained by the duo Arnaud Vincent / Gabriele Ferro.
