Marco Bezzecchi takes the 25th victory in the history of Sky Racing Team VR46 after dominating the European GP in Valencia.

Starting from fifth place on the grid, the Italian driver produced his effort from the first meters and made his way to the lead at the end of the second lap. Despite the pressure exerted by Sam Lowes and then Jorge Martin, the Rimini driver did not fail and managed to maintain his control over the race until the checkered flag.

He crossed the finish line with a lead of almost two seconds over the Ajo driver, and also won the Triumph Triple Trophy, a classification dedicated to the driver who during the weekend excelled in terms of his top speed and the fastest lap .

More importantly, with 155 points, #72 consolidates his fourth place in the championship and even gets closer to his teammate Luca Marini who only has a ten-point lead…

« A difficult, long but beautiful race. At the start, I took a few risks: I tried to recover places and set the pace. I tried to stay focused, ride as cleanly as possible and stay ahead of the race. In the last laps I started to have some problems, which had already happened on Friday. In second gear, I had no more power! I was terrified but I stayed calm and crossed the finish line first thanks to the great work of the whole team. »

« What a great race for our boys: they deserved it! Marco pushed 100% in the first laps, he got a good start and set the pace. Luca struggled, but then he proved that he had found the sensations he had been looking for for weeks. »
