Here we are again in Valencia for the last day of the European Grand Prix. The previous two, the rain had played the spotlight but it would have promised to be discreet this Sunday, race day. Which means different conditions, and therefore, cards redistributed and adjustments to be made again. The Moto2 warm-up session will therefore be studious and, above all, essential for this afternoon’s competition…

In the meantime, we will remind you that during qualifying, Sam Lowes (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) seemed to be heading towards a third pole in a row, but this track, which was drying visibly, allowed two competitors to beat him at the end: Xavi Verge (Petronas Sprinta Racing) and Joe Roberts (Tennor American Racing).

Virgin appeared in the final moments as the representative of the Petronas Yamaha SRT team dislodged Joe Roberts from first place at the checkered flag. A nice reward for the Catalan who had not dominated qualifying since Termas de Río Hondo 2019. It must be said that just a few weeks ago, the latter fractured three toes and an ankle bone in a fall at Le Mans.

Joe Roberts inherited second place by a little more than a tenth, while Sam Lowes therefore completed the first line. Remy Gardner (Onexox TKKR SAG Team) will start from the second row, accompanied by Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Jorge Martín (Red Bull KTM Ajo).

Luca marini (Sky Racing Team VR46), recently made official at Esponsorama Racing for 2021, will occupy seventh position on the grid. Lorenzo Baldassarri (Flexbox HP40) and Héctor Garzo (Flexbox HP40) will be lined up alongside it Nicholas Bulega (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) inheriting the 10th time of this Q2. Disappointment on the other hand for Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team), main rival of Sam Lowes, who did not do better than 15th.

What will this morning warm-up have in store for us? Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far…
