Moto2 Valencia-2 Race: The top 3 "on the spot"!

Barely got off their machines, the three Moto2 riders who finished on the podium during the Valencian Community Grand Prix spoke in front of the site's camera MotoGP.com.

Jorge Martín (1st): “[At the start] I arrived very quickly in the first corner starting fifth but it was very difficult with the wind. I don't know if the front tire was still at the right temperature because of that. I had a grip problem, with the wind it was hard. When I saw that I was coming back to Garzo I told myself that it was possible. I saw the fight between Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi so I didn't give up then DiGia fell and I told myself it was the moment. It seemed difficult to overtake in turn 12 but I took risks to win and I'm glad I did. The team did an incredible job, thank you to all my sponsors. »

Héctor Garzó (2th): “I’m very, very happy, a podium at home! Today the race was very difficult. When I arrived at my place on the grid I felt the wind and I told myself that it was going to be hard but I was able to find my rhythm. I lost a bit of time fighting with Schrötter at the start. I didn't want to pass Jorge [Martín] too early because I knew he had good pace but then he passed me again with five or six laps to go and I saw his pace. Even if Di Giannantonio fell we were still in the first group, victory was very close. I'm happy with this second place, thank you to my team, to Sito [Pons], to my family and to my fans. »

Marco Bezzecchi (3th): “Unfortunately I was passed by two drivers on the last lap. I wasn't feeling great during the race, I expected better. It was warmer but today the problem was the wind. I said to myself "ok I'll try to stay in front, keep my pace and see what happens" but I knew that at the end of the race someone could come and pass. I was too close to resist and it would have been a shame to fall. Third place, I'm not completely happy but a podium is always important. »
