At the end of the qualifications, it is therefore Simone Courses (MV Agusta Forward Racing) which will start from pole position in the Moto2 category in Valencia, the final round of the 2021 World Championship.

The MV Agusta Forward driver, who escaped the Q1 trap, finally stopped the clock at 1'34.956 ahead Celestine Vietti (Kalex, Sky Racing Team VR46), for the first time on the front row in Moto2, and Augusto Fernandez (Kalex, Elf Marc VDS Racing Team).

But beyond this unprecedented first, the interest of the Valencian Community Moto2 Grand Prix lies above all in the final confrontation between the two teammates of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team which will determine the 2021 world champion of the intermediate category. In this regard, we recall that Remy gardner has a 23-point advantage and therefore almost has the title in his pocket... if he doesn't make any mistakes this Sunday!

He will start from 8th position, 3 places behind the other contender, the rookie Raul Fernandez, qualified 5th between Fabio di Giannantonio (Kalex, Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) and Thomas Lüthi (Kalex, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team).

Let us again note the seventh place on the grid for Arón Canet (Boscoscuro, India Aspar Team) which should sport the GasGas colors used next year by the Spanish team, while Jorge Navarro (Boscoscuro, Termozeta Speed Up) completes the third row in front Sam Lowes (Kalex, Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) and Marco Bezzechi (Kalex, Sky Racing Team VR46).

The conditions are perfect this November, with clear skies and temperatures of 20° in the air and on the ground as the 29 drivers prepare to battle it out for 25 laps of the Ricardo Tormo circuit.

When the red lights go out... Simone Courses rushes the best but must thwart an attack from Fabio DiGiannantonio at the first turn, while Xavi Verge (Kalex, Petronas Sprinta Racing) collides Marco Bezzecchi and send to the ground Lorenzo Baldassarri (MV Agusta Forward Racing) in the peloton at the next corner.

The race was then interrupted with a red flag, as oil was present on the track.

The race will restart for 16 laps with the same starting grid.

After a few minutes, the riders placed themselves on the grid again but the motorcycle Marco Bezzecchi is not completely ready. As a result, he will leave last.

Spectacular turn of events, Simone Courses entered the pit lane after the warm-up lap!

When the red lights go out, Augusto Fernández takes the lead in front of its namesake Raul.

follow Fabio Di Giannantonio, Arón Canet, Thomas Lüthi, Celestino Vietti, Xavi Virginie, Marcel Schrötter, Remy Gardner and Sam Lowes.

In the next passage, Raul Fernandez takes command but Augusto Fernandez defends well and regains the advantage on several occasions.

Remy gardner is then 9th, a position which ensures him the title even in the event of victory of Raul Fernandez. The Australian must not finish beyond 13th place to be titled, even if Raul Fernandez was going to win!

On your mind, Fabio DiGiannantonio seizes the lead 13 laps from the checkered flag.

Two laps later, the pressure builds in the helmet of Remy gardner who fell back to 11th position… The Australian's pace is 1'36.6 compared to his teammate's 1'35.6!

With eight laps to go, Tetsuta nagashima (Kalex, Italtrans Racing Team) makes some attacks on the son of Wayne Gardner… Fortunately for the latter, he manages to gain the advantage over Tom Luthi and thus recovers 10th position.

Raul Fernandez is in the lead with four laps to go, even if with the current positions the title will fall into the hands of his Australian teammate.

And things remain as they are until the flag drops.

Raul Fernandez thus won his eighth victory of the season, an absolute record for a rookie, while his teammate Remy gardner pockets the Moto2 title, for 4 points!
