Alonso Lopez secured pole position in the Moto2 class of the Valencian Community Grand Prix, the 20th and final stage of the 2022 World Championship. This is the first pole of his career for the Speed Up rider, who finished with a time of 1'34.314. In first place with him are Red Bull drivers Ajo Pedro Acosta and Augusto Fernandez, separated by only a thousandth and 0,167 respectively.
Fourth beat for Tony Arbolino, who after going through Q1 got closer to the leaders and who can be among the protagonists of the race. Also in second place Ai Ogura (Team Asia) and Joe Roberts (Italtrans).
We recall thatOgura must recover 9,5 points on Augusto Fernandez to win the title and that the “zero” of Malaysia weighs on the Japanese. Aron canet (Pons) will open the third line where we also find Fermin Aldeguer (Speed Up) and Celestine Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), who came from Q1.
What will this warm-up have in store for us in a category which will designate its World Champion of the season in a few hours? Before knowing it, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.
