The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS team carried out a three-minute interview with Álex Márquez, in which the Spanish driver looks back on his start to the season and his objectives. The video is in English, you will find the translation just below to facilitate your understanding.

“The objective of the season is clear to everyone: it is to win the Championship and be World Champion, so we are working for that. »

“The first four races weren't so bad, even though we're not well placed in the Championship. I expected to be better. In Qatar we finished third despite a technical problem in the final laps. I could have fought for the victory so it was a good start. Then we had more difficulty in Argentina, with tricky conditions throughout the weekend. We still finished fifth and were consistent. In Austin we took pole and finished second. It wasn't bad, but then in Jerez I really made a mistake. I should have said to myself “ok, I'll stay where I am” but it was my national Grand Prix so I attacked to get back to Baldassarri but I made a mistake. I need to be both smarter and more realistic. We must learn from the Jerez experience. »

“I said from the start that this season would be open, with many fast and talented drivers able to win the Championship. After six or seven races we will see who the title contenders really are. Everyone wants to win. It will be tough and difficult, but it is good for the fight to see that the Championship is open. We must work for this, in order to create a gap with others. »

“It went pretty well at Le Mans last year. We finished fourth, but it's not my favorite track. I know that this year I will be there quickly, in any case I am going there with this state of mind. It's a circuit where my tires suffer more with my driving style, but with the test at Mugello we arrive one hundred percent prepared and I'm sure it can also be a good weekend for us. »
