After announcing a few weeks ago that the Prüstel GP team would renew its participation in the Moto3 World Championship next year, the Saxon team took advantage of the two consecutive Grands Prix in Misano and Aragón to unveil its two rookie riders: and both speak French!

Jason dupasquier, 17, had the chance to test the KTM Moto3 of the Prüstel GP team for the first time after the Austrian Grand Prix. During the San Marino Grand Prix, the contract was signed between the Swiss and the German Moto3 team. The young Swiss finished the Red Bull Rookies Cup eighth overall. Additionally, Dupasquier has already gained experience in the FIM CEV Junior Moto3 World Championship and the ADAC NEC Championship. Born in Friborg on September 07, 2001, the son of former motocross rider Philippe Dupasquier will participate in the Moto3 World Championship for the first time in 2020 and is looking forward to this new challenge.

Team principal Florian Prüstel is also delighted with this new signing for the coming season and emphasizes that it is very important for the entire team and its sponsors to have won an equally German-speaking driver with the Swiss.

Jason dupasquier : " I am very happy to have signed with the Prüstel GP team for 2020. This gives me a whole new opportunity to grow as a rider and gain valuable experience at the World Championship. I am looking forward to this new challenge and I would like to thank PrüstelGP for their trust. »

Florian Prüstel : " We signed the contract with Jason Dupasquier this morning before the Moto3 race here in Misano. I am happy to welcome a Swiss and therefore the first German-speaking rider to the team. Even though his German is not yet optimal, I am happy to have him on our team. We have been monitoring Jason for some time, had him tested for us in Austria and the negotiations are now over. With him, we are incorporating a rookie and, for our sponsors as for us, the proximity of Switzerland is very important. We are looking forward to the cooperation and hope that he will complete the Rookies Cup successfully and get further points in CEV, so that he can start with us with good feelings. »

A week after the confirmation of Jason Dupasquier for 2020, the German team now announces the signing of Barry Baltus.

The 15-year-old talent has recently made a name for himself in the FIM CEV championship. Thanks to his consistent performances, the Belgian occupies second place in the championship standings. Just like his future teammate, Jason Dupasquier, Baltus also participated in the 2019 Red Bull Rookies Cup which he finished in 12th place.

Off the track, the ambitious young man already trains like a pro. Supermoto, cycling and a fitness trainer are currently preparing the second rider signed to the Prüstel GP team for the new challenge of the Moto3 World Championship.

Team manager Florian Prüstel did not make an easy decision for his 2020 driver list. The 30-year-old took the time to talk to all drivers of interest, negotiate and, in the meantime, follow up closely what his potential new protégés were doing. Working with hopefuls has always been close to the heart of the young racing team owner and he knows that Baltus has already gained a lot of experience in recent years. Florian Prüstel, who together with his father Ingo runs not only the racing team but also the transport company Prüstel, is delighted with his young team and its ability to offer a platform to the next generation, and especially to the Northern European market. So he doesn't lose it...

Barry Baltus : " I am very happy about the opportunity offered by Prüstel GP. It's a dream come true to reach the World Championship next year. I have worked towards this goal since I started racing motorcycles. After signing the contract, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was very moving for me and I would like to thank this team for believing in me, but also my parents and all those who have always supported me in this journey. »

Florian Prüstel : " We have had many discussions with Barry Baltus in the past and he was an option that I really liked. We are happy to welcome him to our team and offer a platform for the Northern European market. We are looking forward to the cooperation, because Barry is a very motivated pilot. He has already celebrated some successes in the CEV and the Rookies Cup. At the age of 15, I wish him a successful World Junior Championship season and hope he celebrates a good start with us. I'm looking forward to next season with our two rookies. “
