QJEngine

In Moto3, as elsewhere in the Grand Prix, we gave in to the temptation to blur the lines and mistake bladders for lanterns. At least this is what the KTM logo highlights on a Kalex Triumph in Moto2, a specious reality which will also be available in 2022 with Yamaha. In Moto3, KTM renames its machines after the names of the brands in its group. Which is ethically justifiable. But with this latest news announcing the name of a second Chinese manufacturer on a fairing, we are no longer far from provocation...

We will remember that during the Algarve Grand Prix, last November, we learned that the team Prustel GP would line up machines badged with the logo of the Chinese manufacturer CF Moto who belongs to the group KTM, the brand which builds the 250 single-cylinder which populates the starting grid of the discipline. So in this case we stay as a family and play on appearances.

But with this news, we discover that a direct competitor of CF Moto, the same Chinese QJEngine will appear on the KTM from an Avintia team reviewed and corrected. “ In 2022, we will join the Esponsorama team to compete in the Moto3 category », announced the Chinese brand. “ QJMotor Racing Avintia will rely on two young drivers from the VR46 Academy, Elia Bartolini and Matteo Bertelle, with the aim of opening a new chapter in this category of MotoGP ».

Is QJMotor the Chinese Trojan?

Certainly, but we remember that the brand QJEngine belongs to Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle, the same giant that controls Benelli. Which has nothing to do with KTM. What will happen on the very strategic Chinese market when QJMotor beats on the track with its KTM the same motorcycle identified with a CF Moto Who is part of the Mattighofen group?

In the meantime, the novelty, according to the preview broadcast on social networks and Moto sprint, will involve a clear change in livery, abandoning the blue color seen during the 2021 season at Esponsorama.
