Moto3 P3

In the Moto3 category, it is difficult to draw conclusions after yesterday's day. Indeed, if we benefited from mild conditions in the morning which benefited Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), now holder of the lap record, the deluge hit the Sachsenring in the afternoon in a session marked by a red flag. If Matteo Bertelle (Honda Snipers Team) finished in the lead, several made mistakes, like Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo), victim of a huge highside in the waterfall, this big descent which leads to the last two turns. Who will qualify directly for Q2? The P3 Moto3 will tell us in a few moments.

Here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.

Clearly, the weather is not on the side of the young guns of Moto3 this German weekend. It's still raining, and the sky is cloudy, drizzly. This does not bode well.

Obviously, the drivers going directly to Q2 are known, and their times will be based on their effort in P1; the only dry session. It's hard to believe, but it's raining even more than yesterday. As during P2, Mario Aji (Honda Team Asia) initially appears to be the fastest, and stands out quite significantly from his adversaries. We also learn that Deniz Oncu is perfectly recovered from his fall; good news, because we saw him holding his arm when he got up.

The two pilots KTM CIP Green Power David Salvador et Andrea Migno are very strong, and occupy the first two positions for a while. In living memory, it has been a long time since we have experienced such difficult conditions in Grands Prix. The skies are unleashed on the Sachsenring!

We feel that the pilots don't particularly want to take risks, and we understand that. With less than ten minutes to go, Scott Ogden (Honda VisionTrack Racing) takes control, he who loves riding in the wet. In order to get used to these conditions, all drivers are currently on track. In the last moments, Xavi Artigas (CFMoto Racing Prüstel GP) takes the best time, while David Salvador records the first and only fall of this P3.

Mario Aji is second, while Scott Ogden is relegated to third position. The British, like Roman Fenati (Honda Snipers Team), will have to go through Q1 to try to reach the best positions.
