It is a redundant fact which marks the Moto3 category to such an extent that it tarnishes its reputation. A Grand Prix program consists of three categories which range from Moto3 to MotoGP to Moto2. A successful show resulting from an effective recipe if we judge by the growing aura of the paddock. But in Moto3, we see annoying situations which spoil the general feeling. They occur during qualifying, the last minutes of which resemble a track cycling competition. The outcome is sometimes the cause when it is not outright ridiculous, not to mention the mood swings of the pilots. Andrea Migno, one of the protagonists of this disaster, gives her feelings…
Andrea Migno can be considered one of the veterans of the tumultuous peloton of Moto3 and he will have the joy of meeting his team mates again VR46 in 2020. Still, the discipline has a problem. The latter is exacerbated during the last minutes of qualifying where everyone is waiting for everyone, looking for a wheel, seeming to forget that the time can be achieved by the strength of one's talent alone.
The organizers have identified the problem and are handing out sanctions with all their might. But in vain ! So much so that the Saturday ranking is only there for information, the starting grid being adjusted on Sunday morning after the distribution of penalties. Andrea Migno frankly comments on this sad situation: “ it's absolutely a shame » admits the Italian on GPone. " And I'm not comfortable with that. We even see it during the warmup too. But since everyone does the same thing and those who do it manage to benefit from it, then we follow the movement. »
The one who will team up with Celestine Vietti offers a solution: I am not against the concept of a Super Pole. At least we would see who has the best time. » An avenue to work on but which promises to be difficult to achieve given the number of staff. Offering each driver a single lap against the clock would require tight timing.
Andrea Migno ends by delivering his prediction for MotoGP in 2020: “ I encourage based on patriotism and friendship. With Vale, Pecco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli, we are friends and so I encourage them. It's an important year for all three, I'd like to see them ahead and I know they can do it. Quartararo is really very strong and I think that if he continues the progression he had in 2019 he will be able to play the world championship with Dovi and Marquez. » Beautiful words with which we readily agree!
