Niccolo Antonelli had surgery on his collarbone which was bruised again. This time, it was on the Sachsenring track that he broke it, and on the left side, during qualifying.
A fall which then forced him to withdraw from the German Grand Prix. The 20-year-old Ongetta Rivacold pilot will now turn his summer vacation into a period of convalescence.
The operation was carried out on Tuesday morning and consisted of removing a plate which will allow the clavicle to recover. The Italian will have to wait between seven and ten days before being able to restart any semblance of training and prepare properly for the next Austrian Grand Prix which will take place in three weeks.

Niccolo Antonelli is currently seventh in the championship with 63 points. The teammate of Jules Danilo experienced victory in Qatar and a pole position in France but also numerous crashes. His French teammate has 41 units and is thirteenth overall.
