For this 14th round of the Moto3 World Championship, the suspense once again lies in the gaps which separate the main contenders for the world title: Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Honda, Leopard Racing) leads the way with 179 points ahead of Arón Canet (157 points). ) (KTM, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team) and Tony Arbolino (149 points) (Honda, VNE Snipers).

The various practice sessions and qualifying sessions have shown that Max Biaggi's driver is far from giving up the fight, and will start in pole position ahead of Ai Ogura (Honda, Honda Team Asia) and the very young wildcard Carlos Tatay (KTM, Fundacion Andreas Perez 77), recent winner of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Tony Arbolino is 7th on the grid, Lorenzo dalla Porta 12e.

However, be careful with drivers like Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse), recent winner at Misano, whose qualification was disrupted by track conditions…

After the overnight rain, the track is now dry, with mostly clear skies and temperatures of 26° in the air and 27° on the ground.

Here is the numerical summary of the previous sessions before this race which will take place over 19 laps:

When the red lights go out, Carlos Tatay misses his departure while Aron Canet makes the holeshot in front Ai Ogura. The KTM rider immediately tried to escape and managed to take a few steps ahead but was caught by the peloton on the long straight.

Alonso lopez (Honda, Estrella Galicia 0,0) is positioned 2nd while Carlos Tatay drops to 11th position.

Jaume Masia (KTM, WWR) falls spectacularly but not seriously at turn 15.

At the front, it is a small train of 11 drivers which gradually breaks away. Lorenzo Dalla Porta, the championship leader, is not part of it since provisionally 16th.

To Tony Arbolino, things are looking better, the young Italian currently occupying 3rd place.

With 15 laps to go, Alonso lopez makes a first attack. Aron Canet regains the advantage immediately, which shakes up the leading group somewhat, to the benefit of Tony Arbolino et John McPhee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing) started 7th.

Marcos Ramirez (Honda, Leopard Racing), currently 4th in the championship, fell without seriousness.

Aron Canet, faster than his opponents in the winding, managed to gain an advantage of one second 12 laps from the checkered flag. Behind, under the leadership of Tatsuki suzuki, we are fighting for 2nd place, thus increasing the gap with the leader.

With 10 laps to go, Aron Canet is 3 seconds ahead of the peloton but receives a warning for going off the track 3 times.

The fight in the peloton sees the internal rises of Dennis Foggia (KTM, SKY Racing Team VR46) in 5th position and Albert Arenas (KTM, Gaviota Ángel Nieto Team) in 6th.

Aron Canet for the moment seems to be doing a very good job in the championship since Tony Arbolino is currently 11th, Lorenzo Dalla Porta 12th, 4 laps from the end of the race…

In the last laps, Ai Ogura manages to contain the rest of the peloton until Dennis Foggia places a second attack in the last turn.

Aron Canet unfolds until the finish, while, behind, Ai Ogura pass Dennis Foggia on aspiration in the straight line.

In the championship, Lorenzo Dalla Porta only has a 2 point lead over Aron Canet and 29 on Tony Arbolino...
