It is with Deniz Öncü who set the best time in the second free practice session that the Moto3 category presents itself this Saturday at Motorland of Aragon. At the site where the 13th round of the 2021 World Championship will take place on Sunday, the Turkish rider of the KTM Tech3 team set the best time with a 1'58.929. A performance which places him ahead of Izan Guevara's GasGas by only 45 thousandths. The two were the only ones to “take down” the “wall” of the minute and 59 in the round...
The third time is for Darryn binder, who, on the Honda of Team Petronas, is ahead of the other GasGas of Sergio Garcia and the KTMs of Jaume Masia (Red Bull Ajo), Filip Salac (Pruestel GP) and Niccolo Antonelli (Avintia). The winner of Silverstone Roman Fenati (Husqvarna Max Racing Team), the excellent Lorenzo Fellon (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Adrian fernandez (Husqvarna Max Racing Team) close the Top Ten.
Dennis Foggia (Honda Leopard) with its fairing wheel, Ayumu Sasaki (KTM Tech3), Gabriel Rodrigo (Honda Gresini) and Peter Acosta are also in provisional Q2. What will this FP3 in Aragon have in store for us? Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.

The first reference is signed by Darryn Binder in 1'59.666. The two opponents for the title that his Garcia et Acosta follow. Then Foggia goes second and Sasaki fourth.
Kunii fall at turn 3 while Binder improves his mark in 1'58.943. Surrah fall at turn 9. Foggia et Oncu enter the top 3 after ten minutes of play. This hierarchy does not change even though the mid-session is over.

The second half is devoted to chasing the clock. Oncu and Foggia take the lead before Rodrigo slams a 1'58.523. But the rookie Guevara did better by knocking on the door of 1'57 per lap. Garcia fall at turn 9. Not serious. He is second to his teammate, which gives us two GasGas in the lead. fellon is eleventh.

The last three minutes are chaotic with a group of drivers waiting at the end of the pitlane, hoping for a good wheel... On the track, a traffic jam is inevitable. Under the checkered flag, Foggia slams a 1'58.051 in front Guevara, Binder, Rofrigo, Oncu, Garcia, Antonelli et fellon who is ahead Acosta et Migno. The Frenchman is therefore directly qualified for Q2.
