Misano

The biggest news of the session came before it even started, when it was announced that Championship leader, Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37), had was declared unfit to participate in the session due to back injuries sustained at the end of FP3. This left the track open to his rivals. Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52), who had not yet tasted the joys of pole position, dominated qualifying this Saturday, taking pole position in the final seconds. Better yet: with his lap in 1'41.194, the young Spaniard beat the previous record set at Assen in Moto38 by 3 thousandths.

Roman Fenati (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #55) could have also claimed pole but had to admit defeat at the last second and will start the race from second on the grid – a useful advantage given his double Long Lap penalty for an on and off-track feud during FP1 with his teammate Adrian fernandez. Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7), which served as nice reference for Bedroom when chasing pole position will start from third position.

Sergio Garcia (GasGas, Aspar Team Moto3, #11) took the opportunity, his main rival in the Championship being absent, and tried his luck but ultimately had to settle for fourth place, sharing the second row of the grid with Kaito Toba (KTM, CIP-Green Power, #27) et Gabriel Rodrigo (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #2). Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23), Darryn binder (KTM, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #40) et Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) appear in third row, the leader of Q1 Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) complete the top ten. The Spaniard will be joined on the fourth row by John mcphee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) and Tatsuki suzuki (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #24).

The rookies Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) and Lorenzo Fellon (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #20) had a good qualifying session, during which they progressed to Q2 and qualified on the fifth row of the grid, ahead of Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53). Elia Bartolini (KTM, Reale Avintia Moto3, #22) opens the sixth row in front of a Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) half-heartedly and Peter Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37), who successfully passed the medical checks which allow him to return to the track this Sunday. Meanwhile, the team BOE Owlride had no representative in qualifications, because Riccardo rossi et Stefano Nepa were undergoing additional medical checks at the hospital following the frightening clash with Acosta at the end of FP3. They will start the race this Sunday.
