Slowly but surely, Adam Norrodin is establishing himself in the top 10. After achieving his best result at the World Cup in Argentina, he is keen to continue his momentum in the United States. For his part, his teammate Ayumu Sasaki, although he had a more complicated weekend, is also making progress.

Adam Norrodin arrived in the World Championship in 2016. After a first year of learning, he progressed in 2017 despite many falls, finishing four times in the top 10. Building on his two years in the category, he started well 2018 by taking eleventh place in Qatar.

Comfortable throughout the weekend in Argentina, he achieved his best result by taking fifth place in the race. Not completely satisfied on arrival, he showed all his determination: “I'm very happy, it's my best result and it gives us important points for the championship, but I'm a little disappointed to have missed the podium because I really wanted it. »

After a week spent training with his friends Ayumu Sasaki, Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Hafizh Syahrin at Colin Edwards, the Malaysian driver arrived in Texas motivated: “I've been driving all week, so I'm very confident, excited to go to Austin and more motivated than ever! »

Even if this weekend does not look easy, Norrodin remains very objective and positive: “The Austin track is not easy, there are a lot of technical corners and I struggled a bit there last year. This Grand Prix will require a lot of work and even if it is not the circuit where I feel most comfortable, I am ready to give the best of myself. We have improved the bike a lot this year, and I feel more confident, so I am confident of a good result. »

His teammate Ayumu Sasaki, is just as motivated. After a completely decent first season in the World Cup last year, he progressed well and had a good start to the season this year by finishing eighth in Qatar. In more difficulty throughout the weekend in Argentina, he unfortunately finished just outside the points, in sixteenth position.

The Japanese driver therefore wants to forget his last race by having a good weekend in the United States: “Our result in Argentina wasn't very good, so I'm even more motivated to do well. When I have a disappointing race, all I want to do is move forward, so I spent the whole week waiting for Texas! »

Unlike his teammate, Sasaki appreciates the American track and is even more optimistic about his chances of a good result: “I love technical trails so I’m really looking forward to Austin. Qualifying will be very important this weekend, we will need to have a good place on the grid to consider a top 10 in the race. I'm very comfortable with our settings for dry conditions, so I'm really hoping for good weather. The objective is to get a good start so that we can fight in the leading group. »
