Peter Acosta

Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) thought he would take the very first pole of his career this Saturday. The Italian seemed strong throughout the session and started the last run on provisional pole but that was without counting on a final lap in 2'15.986 from Jaume Masià (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5), who stole the show for a little less than two tenths. The Valencian, who came first in free practice, actually made the difference in the last two sectors where he regained the equivalent of half a second, somewhat helped by the presence of his teammate Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) to give him a little help. This is the fourth time that the No. 5 has dominated qualifying. The Spaniard secured the long-awaited pole position almost two tenths of a second behind Foggia, who in turn won a close battle with Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52) who qualified just three thousandths behind second of the Italian.

Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) also had a good qualifying session, since he will start from the second row, and will be the sole representative of the Aspar team, Sergio Garcia (GasGas, Aspar Team Moto3, #11) having had to withdraw. He will be alongside the rookie Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43), and the most experienced Tatsuki suzuki (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #24).

Filip Salac (KTM, CarXpert PruestlGP, #12), seventh, was the last rider to clock within half a second of pole and will share the third row with Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) and Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53), both unhappy with their qualifications.

After a tricky FP3 session and a quick Q1, John McPhee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) managed to climb into the top 10, while Roman Fenati (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #55) was unable to reproduce the good qualifying of recent times and will have to settle for 11th position on the grid. Stefano Nepa (KTM, BOE Owlride, #82) completes the fourth row. Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23) opens the fifth row alongsideAyumu Sasaki (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #71) and a disappointing Peter Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37), the championship leader having failed to improve his time during the last run.

The rookie Lorenzo Fellon (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #20) impressed in Q1 by finishing top of the timesheets after crashing on the opening lap, but was unable to improve in Q2 and had to settle for 16th position on the grid, he will be on the sixth row alongside two other survivors of Q1, Darryn binder (KTM, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #40) and Alberto Surra (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #67).

At the end of the morning, the air temperature was 29°C and that of the track 36°C.

Here is the drivers' choice of tires for this race.

The drivers are ready to set off for this 17-lap race.

When the red lights go out, Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) takes the advantage over Jaume Masià (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) and Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52). Jaume Masià (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) quickly regains the advantage, from the 2nd turn.

Tatsuki suzuki (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #24) got a big scare at turn 11 but stayed on his wheels.

At the end of the first round, Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) crosses the timing line first, in front Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) and Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5). Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) anticipated the start and suffered a double “Long Lap”. Peter Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) is 13th for the moment.

A group of 4 pilots stands out, composed of Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43), Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28), Jaume Masià (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) and Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52). They are already more than a second ahead of their pursuers.

Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) made his first “Long Lap” on the 2nd lap and dropped to 11th place. The leading group is therefore only made up of three drivers. With 15 laps to go, Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) leads the race in front Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) and Jeremy Alcove (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52).

Adrian Fernandez (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #31) also received a “Long Lap” penalty. Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43) moved up to 9th place and set the fastest lap on the track.

The leading group is caught by the pursuers, Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7), 4th, is only 0.269s behind Jeremy Alcove (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52) which is currently 3rd. It must be said that the first 3 are fighting, which does not allow them to escape.

It's a Moto3 race as we like it, the drivers finding themselves up to 5 abreast when braking at the end of the straight, during which they were able to take advantage of the suction phenomenon. The fight on the track rages there.

Filip Salac (KTM, CarXpert PruestlGP, #12) fell at turn 11, a huge highside, he remained stunned at the edge of the track.

10 laps from passing under the checkered flag, Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) still leads the race by 0.581s ahead Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) and Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5). Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23) cute at turn 1, a loss of the front without seriousness.

The red flag is presented to be able to take charge Filip Salac (KTM, CarXpert PruestlGP, #12), who is still on the side of the track, but evacuated conscious to the Medical Center.

The race will resume for 5 laps, grid positions will be based on the 7th lap standings.

Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) finds himself in pole position, ahead Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) and John mcphee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17). Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) opens the 2nd row in front Deniz Öncü (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53) and Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52). The third line will consist of Darryn binder (KTM, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #40), Peter Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) and Tatsuki suzuki (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #24).

Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23) who fell at turn 1 at the start of the 8th lap will be able to take part in this 2nd start, in 15th place for his part. Yukii Kuni (Honda, Honda Team Asia, #92) suffered a technical problem and his bike had to be removed from the grid.

When the red lights go out, Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) takes the advantage over John McPhee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) and Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53).

At the front, the battle rages. At the end of the first round, Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) is in the lead, in front Darryn binder (KTM, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #40) and Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53). John mcphee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) and Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) follow closely.

Adrian Fernandez (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #31) and Maximilian Kofler (KTM, CIP-Green Power, #73) fell without seriousness.

Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) made a mistake, due to a mechanical problem, and had to retire. He had problems with his suspension, and returned to his box furious.

With 3 laps to go, John mcphee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) leads in front Jaume Masià (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) and Darryn Binder (KTM, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #40). Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) is 10th.

A huge crash involving Jeremy Alcove (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52), Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) and Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) on the opposite straight generates a second red flag. The 3 pilots are fortunately standing and do not appear injured.

Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53) and Jeremy Alcove (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52) collided, which caused the second to fall in the middle of the track. Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) and Peter Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) were unable to avoid his machine.

Discussions are going well between the teams and Race Direction, the race could be canceled. A representative from each Team is summoned to discuss the sequence of events.

In the end, the race will not resume. The results are from the first race. Izan Guevara (GasGas, Gaviota Aspar Team, #28) is therefore declared the winner. Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) is second and John mcphee (Honda, Petronas Sprinta Racing, #17) third.

This is what we call an emotional elevator!
