Urgently called to replace the Australian Joel Kelso, injured after the finish line of the first round of the Moto3 World Championship, David Almansa truly impressed his world in Argentina, fighting like a lion to try to get on the podium after starting 25th on the grid.

Showing uncommon confidence in the wet for someone who had only participated in one Grand Prix before (Valencia 2022), the 17-year-old Spaniard was unfortunately caught by Scott Ogden on the last lap when he was third after a good comeback.

Initially, it was his only replacement planned in GP this year for the one who is currently competing in his second season in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship, but the recovery of Joel Kelso seems to take longer than expected, and the rider from Argamasilla de Calatrava (Castile-La Mancha) announced on Monday on his social networks his participation in the Moto3 event of the Grand Prix of the Americas, which will take place in Austin ( Texas) this weekend.

« I'm very excited to tell you that this weekend I will be back in the Moto3 World Championship with the @cfmoto.pruestelgp, in the #americasgp. We did a great job in Argentina, where we managed to move from 25th position to the podium, so we will work hard from the first second, like we did there, to get the best possible result in Austin . Thanks to @finetwork, @cfmoto.pruestelgp and @ktm_official for their continued trust in me, I'm sure we'll have fun! »

The opportunity to see once again the #92 which will also compete in the next round of the World Championship, the Spanish Grand Prix, from April 28 to 30 in Jerez, thanks to a wildcard!
