Given his inappropriate behavior in the Czech Republic, Alonso lopez was sanctioned by the FIM MotoGP and will have to start from the pit lane during the Austrian Grand Prix.

It starts from an ordinary racing event, a fight on the track like so many others. On the Brno track, two drivers, Alonso lopez et Sergio Garcia, teammates at Estrella Galicia, are neck and neck with five laps to go and are fighting for a place in the top 10. Sergio Garcia then attempts an ambush on his partner in turn 12, and misses, taking his unfortunate teammate with him, both men ending up on the mat.

Annoyed, the rookie, Alonso López, then sharply reprimands Sergio Garcia and ends up raising his hand on him, shoving him. Following this unfortunate gesture, the FIM MotoGP stewards including Freddie spencer and the president decided to sanction the 18-year-old pilot. During the Austrian Grand Prix, this Sunday, the Madrid native will start from the pit lane.

The respondent declared following this sanction that he would not appeal this decision, indicating: “ I would like to once again apologize to my teammate for what happened. I was doing really well in the race and I felt like I could achieve a good result when the incident happened 5 laps from the finish. I apologize for that. Even if I start from the pit lane in Austria, I will be 100% to give my best.”
