In Barcelona as elsewhere, the P2 Moto3 is a crucial session, because it determines the qualifiers in Q2, who will not have to get out of the first qualifying session to hope for a good place on the grid. Naturally, David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team) appears as the clear favorite, due to his series of six consecutive victories, his world title, or his thirteen successes this season, take your pick. Even a first day in mixed tones (14th in P1) does not eliminate him from the race for victory. Behind, the situation is more than tense because Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) as Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) are tied for second place in the general classification! Both do not want to delay getting back into their weekend. Holgado seems to be better off, notably thanks to this P2 led with a master hand, but Veijer is lurking. The KTM Boé Motorsports duo of David Munoz and Joel Kelso should not be overlooked, as should the Honda Leopard Racing pair. Angel Piqueras, leader of the FP, was only a few tenths ahead of his teammate Adrian Fernandez.

Like yesterday, the Honda Leopard Racing duo first took the lead, led by Adrian fernandez. But Joel Kelso, also very prominent on the first day, is also in the running. David Alonso, this time, is on the pace. Times are still quite slow compared to P1. Out of nowhere, Tatsuki suzuki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) takes the first position, whileholgado, he too, gets into rhythm.

Alonso still can't manage to get this advantageous position, and must remain wary because he too is slower than yesterday. Small fall without gravity for David Almansa (Honda Snipers Team), while the rankings do not change.
But everything changes two minutes from the end: Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Garlic) goes first, followed byAdrian fernandez. But David Alonso, as usual, kicks the anthill! He is the new leader.
The last few seconds are breathtaking… and finally, out of nowhere, it’s Ivan Ortola who has the best time! He is ahead David Alonso and a solid Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull GasGas Tech3).
