The team formed by Biaggi and Öttl kept all its promises for its debut in the World Championship, and even much more.

A little over a year ago, Max Biaggi announced the arrival of his team in Moto3, in partnership with Peter Öttl, already involved in the category for several years. The pair had bet on Aron Canet and it was then difficult to truly assess the level of the team. A year later, the experience proved to be more than conclusive since the Spaniard finished vice-world champion, behind Lorenzo Dalla Porta.

The season will have been tough and Canet will have experienced ups and downs, but he went for second place in the Championship during the last Grand Prix of the season, in Valencia. In addition to his title, he allowed the Max Racing Team to finish sixth in the Team Championship, yet driving alone, unlike other teams made up of two drivers.

A first experience which proved the success of the operation of the combination made up of the rider, the bike and the management, and which made all the members very proud when it came time to close the season. “Finishing his first year in the World Championship runner-up is a fantastic result, also taking into account the fact that Arón played for the title almost throughout the season. There are so many things to be happy about.", they said in a statement. “[Max Biaggi] has put together a team of great quality and which has demonstrated its value during these 19 races. »

“It was a very long Championship that ended and saw the Max Racing Team travel the world for the first time. Our thanks go to our driver Arón Canet, our owner Max Biaggi, our team manager Peter Öttl, our technical chief Lele Martinelli, our telemetrist and mechanic Mikel López Ruiz and our other mechanic Jonathan Romero Gonzalez. The Max Racing Team looks forward to seeing you for the preparation of the 2020 season, thank you all for supporting us. »

Next year promises to be another promising year since after Arón Canet, who left for Moto2, the team will welcome the experienced Romano Fenati and the young Alonso López.
