The good news, on the eve of the Czech Republic Grand Prix, is that, on Friday morning, Alonso will be regularly in the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max Racing Team pits, to take part in the fourth race of the 2020 season.
Let's look back at what happened twelve days ago.
The temperatures on the Jerez circuit had been truly prohibitive since the previous weekend, and put a severe test on the physique of all the drivers. Unfortunately, Alonso Lopez felt bad at the end of free practice 1 of the Andalusian Grand Prix. Quickly returned to the mobile clinic, he showed obvious weakness and exhaustion, and it was therefore decided to transfer him to the nearby hospital, in order to carry out all the necessary analyzes.
The results of the blood tests carried out showed that certain parameters were definitely out of norm. For this reason, supportive therapy with medications was carried out, with the aim of rebalancing the correct parameters. Alonso López remained in the hospital for a few days, until the end of a therapy thanks to which Alonso was fully recovered.
Alonso López : " Unfortunately, as you all know, after the first session of Jerez 2 I felt bad. Honestly, at the beginning of the day I didn't feel very fit, but I participated in FP1, at the end of which the feeling of fatigue worsened. In agreement with the mobile clinic, I decided to go to the hospital to be able to do more in-depth analyses. Blood tests revealed abnormal values of certain parameters. Doctors quickly decided to do more tests, but they revealed no other problems. I was treated with IV and drug therapy. On the Sunday of race 2 in Jerez, I still didn't feel in good shape, but since Monday my conditions have clearly improved. I finished therapy and left the hospital on Thursday.
