If you think that Ducati is disappointed with the way the season has turned out in MotoGP and that Suzuki is worried about the future of events, this is nothing compared to what is happening with another manufacturer involved in Grand Prix on the Moto3 side. This one is the Indian Mahindra which ended its 2016 financial year with three victories and the ambition to do even better this year. But after five Grands Prix this is the worst campaign looming for the Indian manufacturer.

The arrival with great fanfare during the offseason of Max Biaggi in the environment Mahinda for a Moto3 team in the Italian championship was the tree that hid the forest for the manufacturer. Because the main thing was elsewhere: all its top drivers had left the ship, leaving orphaned teams which had only recruited replacements who initially had a lot to prove.

Despite everything, the brand's sports boss Mufaddal Choonia declared before the start of hostilities: “ we want to win more Grands Prix this year than last season ". Certainly, there have only been five races completed out of the eighteen on the calendar, but it is clear that the trend is not synonymous with momentum towards success. It is rather the aspiration towards the abysses. Thus, Mahindra's biggest points were scored only during the last French Grand Prix thanks to Jakub Kornfeil who snatched eleventh position.

It is the same Cornfeel who is the best pilot of the coat of arms, in twenty-fourth place overall. We will also remember that Dorna wants a manufacturer to bring between ten and twelve motorcycles to its Moto3 starting grid. However, Mahindra only has six. Divided between Peugeot, Aspar and the CIP.

By the admission of some, finally, the MGP30 has not evolved much since 2014. In a year where Honda has worked so hard to beat the reigning champion KTM, the Mahindra factory seems like being taken aback and admitting your limits. At this rate, it is his 2018 program itself that is starting to falter. In 2016, bagnaia for Aspar emerged victorious from Assen and Malaysia while McPhee with Peugeot had won in Brno.
