After a first free practice session dominated by Deniz Öncü this morning, Moto3 returned to action early this afternoon on the Jerez circuit. With the mercury changing considerably in a few hours, and gaining nearly 20°C on the track (the temperature during these FP2 was 22°C in the air and 39°C on the ground before entering the track machines), the hierarchy observed during FP1 was however somewhat disrupted.

The evolution of temperatures has drastically changed the level of grip on the Andalusian track, which has not been without causing certain falls, like those of Matteo Bertelle on his first lap into the last corner, or else again from Daniel Holgado at the same place a few minutes later.

Sergio Garcia, third in FP1 this morning, also made a mistake, in his case in turn 6, after losing the front. More fear than harm, however, for the Spaniard, who was able to leave immediately.

In terms of times, it was Izan Guevara who did the best in these conditions, and in what way, by taking control of this session and not leaving it afterwards. The Iberian showed himself to be uncompromising, posting several tenths of a second ahead of his closest rivals until the final minutes of the session.

He was nevertheless caught at the end by Ayumu Sasaki, well recovered from his fall in the morning, and Jaume Masiá. The end of the session was marked by Garcia's second fall in turn 11, in the same place as that of Lorenzo Fellon. The two men rank respectively in 11th and 17th positions in these FP2s.
