Max Biaggi

The trip to Indonesia and racing on the Mandalika track will be a real headache for Max Biaggi's men who thought they would start their Moto3 season with a bang. But the bad luck caught up with them before the end of a Qatar Grand Prix which had until then been mastered by Ayumu Sasaki on the KTM in the colors of Husqvarna and the Max Racing Team. Since then, the black series has continued, the proof…

What curse could have struck the Max Racing Team since the Husqvarna fairingAyumu Sasaki opened in view of the arrival of a Grand Prix of the Qatar that he dominated? We don't know, but it's there... We learn that the second pilot John mcphee was injured in training, resulting in a broken vertebra. But as if that wasn't enough, two other members of the team remain in doubt...

One of the teams that showed themselves the most during the first round of the season was undoubtedly the Max Racing Team, who did it for better and for worse. The excellent raceAyumu Sasaki, who started on pole and fled in the first laps, was in fact interrupted prematurely due to the opening of the hull which forced the Japanese to retire.

John McPhee hopes to return to Max Biaggi's side in Argentina

Alas for Max Biaggi, the misfortunes do not seem to have stopped there for his team, which in Indonesia and after Moto sprint will have to do without more than one person. The heaviest absence is that of John mcphee, who finished fifth in the Qatar, and who broke a vertebra in training. A very serious injury but from which the Briton nevertheless aims to recover before the next stage of Termas de Rio Hondo, in Argentina, thus only skipping theIndonesia.

The other absences, in this case probable, but not yet certain, concern the technical sector. In fact, these days the Team Manager Peter Oettl and Sasaki technician Emanuele “lele” Martinelli tested positive for Covid, while there is less than a week left to go to FP1 in Mandalika… The chances of seeing the two in Indonesia are therefore slim, but we will have to wait for the test that everyone knows. One thing is certain, bad luck has so far put Max and his team in his sights!
