Moto3 France P2

P2 Moto3 is always crucial, but in France, in front of so many people, it takes on even more importance. Indeed, it is the last session which counts in establishing the hierarchy before qualifying. Missing it means compromising your weekend. Some pilots had already distinguished themselves before, and among them, David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team). Leader during FP and P1, without much opposition and well below the previous track record, the Colombian absolutely wants to avenge his fall from Jerez. Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Moto3), championship leader, is also very fast, having won here last year. Watch out for the return of José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), absent during the two previous rounds due to an appendicitis attack – and complications, who is also in the mix, like Joel Esteban (CFMoto Aspar Team).

Do you already know the result of this session? It doesn't matter, come relive it with us in the comments!

The weather is always good at Le Mans, so let's hope it lasts. The competitors are now setting off.

The race has started, no minute to lose: you have to qualify directly in Q2. Ivan Ortola (KTM MT Helmets MSi) achieves the first significant time, he who is struggling to fully enter this pursuit towards the crown. His teammate Ryusei Yamanaka takes the lead, but still far from the record established yesterday by David Alonso. David Munoz (KTM Boé Motorsports), almost winner in Jerez, is also in the game.

Munoz leads, comfortably, in front Collin Veijer who must have had trouble getting his weekend started. David Alonso is out of the top 5 for a long time, just like Daniel Holgado. But the teams, for now, were testing their racing pace. From now on, fast times will arrive en masse.

But that was before David Alosno don't get involved. In 1'40.121, the Colombian set the new track record, and widened a gap of eight tenths with his closest pursuer. The times in 1'40 are coming, but Alonso can achieve a 1'39. He misses his second attempt, but will be able to try to do it in qualifying anyway. Eventually, it will wait. Daniel Holgado, world leader, must be very careful and go directly into the 1'40. Fortunately for him, he finished 13th, far away, but directly into Q2.

Collin Veijer is second, while Ryusei Yamanaka, as an outsider, takes third position. The qualifications promise to be spicy! So see you soon for the rest!
