A week after Catalonia, it's off again for the Moto3 world championship, and it picks up straight away with P1 in Italy. A lot has happened since then, even if the same man continues to rule in the smallest of categories. David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team) won again at Montmelo, which constitutes his fourth success this season after Qatar, the United States and France. Still as dominant as ever, he was unable to take pole but is today leader of the championship. Behind, it's more complicated. Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3), winner in Portugal, is not ready to give up the fight, while Ivan Ortola (KTM MT Helmets MSi) and Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), also winner in Jerez, try to prevent the domination of the Colombian. Who will emerge triumphant from this clash at Mugello? Answer Sunday! This morning, without much surprise, David Alonso crushed the session, finishing one second ahead of all his competitors.

Collin Veijer is the first to record a significant time, but everything suggests that it will be necessary to go under 1'58 to qualify for Q2. But of course, it is impossible to escape the domination of David Alonso, who once again climbs to the top of the provisional standings. Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets MSi) is in its exhausts. Daniel Holgado is nowhere.
Here comes Alonso! 👊

Small fall to report for Tatchakorn Buasri (Honda Team Asia), the Asian hope of the winged brand. But be careful Luca Lunetta (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica), the Italian rookie, who even surpasses David Alonso in the ranking! Since the start of the season, he has been excellent.
Impressive from Luca Lunetta! 👍

More David Alonso, the Colombian, does not give up. Fall of Joshua Whatley (Honda MLav Racing), which is having a mixed start to the season.

Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), very fit since this morning, goes first but without being able to improve the record established by Alonso earlier in the day.
Great progress from Jose Antonio Rueda! 🙌

Collin Veijer, again, approaches the record, then beats it in his next attempt. Four minutes from the end, David Alonso wasn't able to truly assert himself in the lead...until he got really angry. With a small 1'55, he takes half a second ahead of his closest pursuer. And here he goes in 1'54! But where does it come from? Colin Veijer is second with very good weather, Ryusei Yamanaka finished third. Daniel Holgado is only 17th, two seconds behind! The Tech3 driver will have to pull himself together tomorrow.
Absolutely staggering 👊
