Without further ado, let's begin the summary of the P2 Moto3 in Italy. This crucial session can allow the 14 fastest to qualify directly for Q2, but be careful, because the times from P1 are also taken into account. So if conditions are more difficult today, some could find themselves trapped. Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3), winner in Portugal, had every right to worry after a completely failed P1 yesterday afternoon. On the other hand, others were already celebrating. Impossible not to mention David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team), dominant during the first two sessions, lap record holder and incidentally leader of the championship. Everything is going well for the Colombian but he must keep an eye on a few opponents; Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) first, but also a surprising Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets MSi).
Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come relive it with us! Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) hits without delay and passes in 1'56.553 for his first try. Then, the leading men all passed in 1'54, including David Alonso, of course, who is lurking. Daniel Holgado is fast too, but further back, in eighth place. Nothing is decided, of course.

Jose Antonio Rueda holds the bar, with a more than convincing time. But the race simulations are over now, and it's time for the favorites to turn their attention to setting fast laps. Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) is far from ridiculous, he who is doing not too badly at the start of the season. Strange fall for David Almansa (Honda Snipers Team), but everything is fine with him.
A weird one for @DavidAlmansa22 at T14 💥

Collin Veijer enters the dance, while the first fast times show themselves, but none beat the mark of Jose Antonio Rueda. The hierarchy is changed in particular because of the aspiration, and the pilots who all arrive at the same time. Ivan Ortola gets involved, and goes first in 1'54. But David Alonso, all alone on the track, did better by seven tenths! It's incredible.
Alonso, one lap later, crossed the line with a 1'53.926! In the last moments, Ryusei Yamanaka climbs into second place reduces the gap to 720 thousandths. Collin Veijer is third while Daniel Holgado will go well in Q2, but only appearing 13th. He didn't go far.
Advantage Alonso again 💪
