After making his debut at Valencia last year, here comes a new opportunity. Not only for David Almansa, who will compete in his fourth GP in the Moto3 World Championship, his third this year. The young Spaniard will be accompanied by Ramón Forcada, who will be in his second experience in the lightweight category after the last round of 2022. All under the colors of the Finetwork MIR Racing Team, with which this duo is active in Moto3 Junior. Not a bad “warm-up”, given that the 2023 JuniorGP starts the following week in Estoril…

Third GP of the year
As we said, this will be the first round of Ramón Forcada and the MIR Racing Team before the start of “their” championship. But the 17-year-old, from Argamasilla de Calatrava, has already made his debut in the season and in the world championship. David Almansa was in fact called by PrüstelGP after the Portimão GP to replace Joel Kelso, hurt. The latter will try to return to Jerez, hoping to be in good shape, but the young Spaniard will also be there. We remember his superb race in Argentina, almost on the podium until the unfortunate end due to the fault of another driver. The race in Austin was more difficult, 17th at the finish, but now we will see how he performs in Jerez, a circuit he knows very well.

The return of Forcada
We recently saw the experienced head technician get involved in MotoE. As a reminder, Ramón Forcada is this year the team manager of RNF in the electric championship. A new challenge, all his experience put at the service of the MotoE team and its riders, the returning Andrea Mantovani and the rookie Mika Perez. This weekend, we find Forcada as the new JuniorGP championship approaches, but with this new opportunity in the World Cup. He will accompany the young Almansa and the MIR Racing Team for the second time in a Moto3 GP, another exciting event also thanks to its scenario, since the rider, the team and the chief technician race at home.
