After having announced its participation in the Moto2 World Cup in 2019 without having communicated the names of the drivers who will race within its structure, the Ángel Nieto team has just done so for Moto3 and we now know who will be its representatives in the small category.

Le team Angel Nieto did not do things by halves, and secured the services of two promising young pilots in the persons ofAlbert Arenas and Raúl Fernández in 2019.

The former is already part of the team and won the French Grand Prix this year. Currently thirteenth in the Championship, he is progressing from race to race and has been playing regularly in recent times, even if he has only managed to achieve this once. The renewal of his contract will allow the Spaniard to move up a notch thanks to the experience he has accumulated.

The second is also part of the team, but in the Junior World Championship, and is currently the leader. Its rise to the World Cup will therefore take place in the best possible conditions.

Albert Arenas : “I am very happy to continue one more year in the Moto3 World Cup with the Ángel Nieto team. Together we have managed to reach a very good level with this KTM, we are constantly fighting for the podium and are competitive. Continuing for another year with the same structure will bring us positive points that will allow us to continue to be strong. I'm happy to be able to concentrate on the remaining races, which are still quite numerous. I will continue to give my best and apply what I have learned so that we all progress together and achieve our goals. »

Raul Fernandez : “I am very happy to be able to announce that I will race in the World Cup in 2019 with the Ángel Nieto team, which is the team that supported me the most, took care of me the most and taught me the most in my career. This announcement takes a lot of pressure off me, because now I will only have in mind the fight for the FIM CEV Moto3, championship in which we are leaders, and where we will continue as we have done until now, but with less weight. My future is in the Worlds and what better way to pass the milestone than to do it with the team with whom I am fighting for the title in the World Juniors. I am happy to continue growing with this team, even if I know that it will not be easy, and that I will have to adapt to the first circuits, both in terms of the bike, the team and the team. pace of the World Cup. I would like to thank the team and everyone who has supported me in my career, especially my family, because I am going to pass the milestone that all drivers dream of and I hope to be able to fight to be world champion in the near future. »
