Czech Republic Grand Prix winner John McPhee recently returned home after his immobilization in Australia and can start training physically for next season.
A 2017 season during which he will line up on the Moto3 grid as part of a new team which has long been rumored to be linked to the operator British Telecom which broadcasts the Grands Prix in the United Kingdom through of its subsidiary BT Sport.
However, to date, and despite a team whose name leaves room for doubt (British Talent), this is not the case, and we must rather look towards Dorna to find the support which allowed the former -Peugeot driver to get a factory Honda.
And with Alberto puig at the helm, the man who followed Casey Stoner et Dani Pedrosa before coordinating the Asian Talent Cup on behalf of Dorna, there is no doubt that things will turn out well.
MCN reports the Scottish driver's latest words: “There are still some details that we don't quite know, but we know that it's going to be a Dorna team led by Alberto Puig. There's still no sign of BT, but maybe they'll come at a later date. I'm going to have a factory Honda but, that was on my list. I won't pay either, which is one less thing to worry about. It's going to be nice to be able to let our colors shine a little, and with Dorna involved in the budget, it won't be a problem. And having Alberto on the team is also a good thing; he has a good reputation in the paddock and a long history with drivers like Pedrosa and Stoner. It will do the job properly. It's a shame we won't be able to test until the end of the year, but we'll start at the beginning of February and we hope to get there fairly quickly.
