This season in Moto3, the Leopard team is showing off its claws like in the good times of Danny Kent. The reunion with Honda is definitely a joy for the team with the name of the feline which purrs near the winged shield while roaring on the track. The title this year is in line with Mir, Joan of his first name, and first driver of the team which makes the law. That's the name of the second pilot, Belgian and named Livio, who is however far from the mark. Track boss Lundberg takes stock at mid-season, specifying that nothing is certain yet. Far from it.

The technical director of the Leopard team has learned to be careful. However, given what is happening in MotoGP, he could calmly benefit from a less random situation in his championship. Five victories in nine races, always in the points… his driver Joan mir seems to have a good handle on his subject. But appearances would be deceiving… “ It's true, we scored every time and we won half of the races. And yet, we are “only” 37 points ahead in the championship. We need to think about why and also understand how we were able to lose so many points during four Grands Prix where we were unable to be among the top five. ».

« We saw that the gaps in the peloton were very small. There is little difference between victory and the last places in the top 10. Everything depends on the last lap ". And Lundberg adds to his anxiety a few other parameters: “ We haven't yet had any tests completely in the rain. This can happen in Great Britain or in Brno. In this case, the cards can be redistributed. And then the start of the school year takes place in Brno, a route which is not as successful as in Mir. And teams went to test there. Not us. This will be taken into account ».

« So you have to stay focused and strong ". The boss therefore keeps the pressure on his troops: “ Fenati, Canet and Martin stay in the game and are very fast this year ". A relief nonetheless: “ all the favorites are assured of their future for next year, so that should guarantee us a regular fight without a driver who must try everything to ensure his next season ».

However, there is another question that must be addressed. Lundberg : the big gap between Joan Mir, championship leader with 165 points and a second driver named Livio Law who only scored 24 units, which puts him seventeenth overall… Mir will therefore have to fend for themselves to take their world crown.
