Dennis Foggia won the first free practice session of the Malaysian Grand Prix in the Moto3 category, 19th and penultimate round of the 2022 World Championship. The Honda Leopard Team rider achieved the best performance with a time of 2' 12.226, a time which allowed him to beat Ayumu Sasaki, driver of the Husqvarna Max Racing Team, by only 70 thousandths.
Third and fourth beats for James Masia on the KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo and Riccardo rossi on Honda from Team SIC58 Squadra Corse. The Genoese pilot precedes the 2022 world champion Izan Guevara, which positions the GasGas of the Aspar team ahead of the KTM MT Helmets – MSI riders, Ryusei Yamanaka et Diogo Moreira.
Close the Top Ten Sergio Garcia (GasGas Aspar) and the joker Syarifuddin Azman (Honda Vision Track). Deniz Oncu (KTM Tech 3), Andrea Migno (Honda Snipers) Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) and David munoz (KTM BOE) also qualified for provisional Q2.
