During the Moto3 qualifying session, Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) was well on his way to taking pole at home, having had the spotlight stolen during FP3. But that was without counting on Romano Fenati (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #55) who achieved a 1'41.756 during his last timed lap. By a quarter of a second, his compatriot left with the honors: the seventh pole of his career.

At their side, we will find another Italian in the person of Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23), who could almost have propelled himself to the top of the timesheet, without the scare he suffered in the last corner. A fourth Italian, Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) will lead the second row, which will be accompanied by Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5) and Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Racing, #43).

Riccardo rossi (KTM, BOE Owlride, #54) and Elia Bartolini (KTM, Bardahl VR46 Riders Academy, #22) added an Italian touch to the third row, lining up alongside championship leader, Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37).
