Misano

Moto3 returns to Misano with some updated statistics, starting with this one: during the Grand Prix of the Americas, Izan Guevara won his first victory at this level of competition. With this victory and that of Pedro Acosta this year, it is the first time that two rookies have won in the same Moto3 season since 2016 with Khairul Idham Pawi and Joan Mir.

Furthermore, with four victories in Moto3, GASGAS rises to fourth place on the list of the most successful manufacturers in the category behind KTM and Honda, who lead with 77 victories each, and FTR Honda (7).

Dennis Foggia finished second in Austin for his ninth podium since the start of the year. Its closest rival is Acosta with six. It is also the 14th podium of Foggia in Moto3, tying Fabio Di Giannantonio and Danny Kent in 14th position on the list of Moto3 riders with the most podiums in this category. John mcphee finished third in Texas for his first podium since winning the San Marino Grand Prix last year.

The leader of the championship, Acosta, finished eighth at the last San Marino Grand Prix, equaling his second-worst result of his rookie season with France and Italy. Acosta is still at the top of the Moto3 rankings with 30 points ahead of Dennis Foggia and Sergio Garcia. This is the biggest margin after the first 15 races of the Moto3 season since 2017, when Joan Mir led with 271 points ahead of Romano Fenati (216) after the Japanese Grand Prix.

Roman Fenati (2017, 2020/2), Tatsuki Suzuki (2019) John mcphee (2020/1) and now Dennis Foggia (2021/1) are the only riders currently racing in Moto3 who have already won at Misano in this category. Suzuki (2019) won its first pole and its first victory on this circuit.

Roman Fenati (2012, 2017, 2020/2), Tatsuki suzuki (2019, 2020/1), Niccolo Antonelli (2015, 2021/1), John mcphee (2019, 2020/1), Dennis Foggia (2021/1) and Andrea Migno (2021/1) are the only riders currently entered in Moto3 who reached the podium at Misano in this category.

The 11 Moto3 races held at Misano were won by nine riders: Sandro Cortese (2012), Alex Rins (2011 and 2012), Enea Bastianini (2015), Brad Binder (2016), Romano Fenati (2017, 2020/2), Lorenzo Dalla Porta (2018), Tatsuki Suzuki (2019), John McPhee (2020/1) and Dennis Foggia (2021/1). Only Cortese, Bastianini, Binder and Suzuki have won from pole position at this circuit.
