Moto3 Misano P1

Less than a week after this fantastic Catalan explanation, and we are back for the P1 Moto3 in Misano. We parted with this sensational victory for Colombian rookie David Alonso (Gaviota GasGas Aspar Team), in a race which saw championship leader Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3) fall. The latter is only 13 points ahead of his runner-up, the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), fourth in Montmelo. The race was also marked by the maneuver of Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in the last corner, pushing David Muñoz (KTM Boé Motorsports) off the track. This earned him a six-second penalty, and benefited rookie José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), on the podium for the first time in his young career. Jaume Masiá (Honda Leopard Racing), third overall, moved into second position.

In short, this San Marino Grand Prix in Misano still has many surprises in store! So relive this P1 with us ; before we begin, here is a table which recalls the known facts:

As is often the case around Rimini, the weather is good.

As usual, Jaume Masia is the first to register a significant time. And the Spaniard is soon improving his own brand. The Leopard driver is quite easily ahead David Munoz. The pace is pretty slow at the moment, but it could explode at any moment. The session is extremely quiet at the moment, to say the least.

Only, a beautiful rescue of Deniz Oncu to note.

The pilot Honda Team Asia Taiyo Furusato interferes in the top 3, he who left all the Q1s in which he took part in 2023. Then, it is his compatriot Ayumu Sasaki who finally gets into shape. Less than nine minutes from time, he achieved the best mark. He is the first to go under 1'43 in 1'42.619.

More Jaume Masia do not delay in recovering his property, but Sasaki don't give up. Everyone has something under their feet, including the local Romano Fenati (Honda Snipers Team), in the top 5.

The two fastest only exchange first place. Even if this session doesn't really count, it's about making an impression.

Jaume Masia finished this P1 in the lead, not without being worried by Ayumu Sasaki, second. His teammate Honda Leopard Racing, Tatsuki Suzuki, is third.
