Izan Guevara was the fastest during the third and final free practice session of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Moto3 category, 14th stage of the 2022 World Championship. The Aspar Team rider took his GasGas to the summit with a time of 1'41.459, ahead of Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) by 0.314s and the Japanese from Max Racing Team, Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna) by 0.333s.
James Masia on the KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo is fourth, ahead of the Honda Snipers ofAndrea Migno and the KTMs of Team Tech 3 of Deniz Oncu and Team MT Helmets – MSI of Ryusei Yamanaka. Dennis Foggia (Honda Leopard) finished ninth, ahead of GP CFMoto del Pruestel of Carlos Tatay. John mcphee (Husqvarna Max Racing Team), Sergio Garcia (GasGas Aspar) and, with the times set yesterday, Tatsuki suzuki (Honda Leopard) and Diogo Moreira, rookie KTM MT Helmets – MSI, also qualified directly for Q2.
Among others, Scott Odgen, Kaito Toba, Riccardo Rossi, Nicola Fabio Carraro who replaces the injured Matteo Bertelle on the KTM of Team Avintia, Diogo Moreira, Alberto Surra et Elia Bartolini will have to move on from the Q1 trap. Note that several drivers slowed down noticeably in the final laps and therefore possible penalties to be served on the grid are not excluded...
