The Moto3 riders opened hostilities this Friday morning at the Misano track, for the very first free practice session and it was Raúl Fernández from the Red Bull KTM Ajo team who set the tone. The Madrilenian is thus in the lead with the best time thanks to a lap in 1'42.501. A quarter of a second separates him from his closest opponent in the person of Gabriel Rodrigo. Ayumu Sasaki, and John McPhee follow with the third and fourth fastest times.
Behind, we then found Celestino Vietti of Sky Racing Team VR46, the winner of the last Grand Prix in Styria, Stefano Nepa and Tony Arbolino. Albert Arenas, still comfortably at the head of the Championship, Tatsuki Suzuki, who had won the previous edition and Sergio Garcia completed the provisional Top 10.
