The weekend of the French Grand Prix was the occasion for numerous announcements concerning the transfers of Moto3 and Moto2 drivers in 2021. It is therefore useful to summarize here part of the game of musical chairs.

Moto3:

  • Jaume Masia, who currently races on a Honda from the Leopard Racing team, will ride in 2021 on a KTM from the Red Bull KTM Ajo team alongside the reconfirmed Raúl Fernández.
  •  Andrea Migno will leave his SKY Racing Team VR46 KTM in favor of a Rivacold Snipers Team Honda to replace Tony Arbolino.
  • Tatsuki suzuki extends at SIC58 Squadra Corse,
  • Tony Arbolino moves to Moto2.

 

Moto2:

  • Lorenzo Baldassarri will ride on an MV Agusta Forward instead of his Kalex from the Flexbox HP 40 team of Sito Pons:
    “I am very happy with the opportunity that was given to me, first of all because I have already raced with this team and I thank Giovanni Cuzari for the confidence he has in me. We hit the pause button for a while but now it's nice to be able to move forward and continue the work that was paused. It's also an honor for me to race with such an important brand, which has a lot of history behind it, and it would be great to be able to bring it back to the top of the rankings. I want to thank all the people who, even if the results don't help at the moment, still believe in me and continue to support me. Thank you to all the people who are close to me, who work for me and my family. »
    It will be replaced by Stefano manzi, currently at MV Agusta Forward Racing.

 

  • Fabio DiGiannantonio, currently at Speed ​​Up, will return to Gresini Racing, alongside Nicolò Bulega :
    « I'm thrilled to be back on the team where it all started. With Gresini, the first points arrived, the first podiums, the victories... With Fausto we found ourselves again and I think it's a great opportunity for both of us, I'm sure we can do great things together in Moto2 l 'next year. I will find a new team which is always an added incentive. We must do well if not very well in Moto2 and then aspire to MotoGP which could be the prize and dream of a lifetime.   • Barry Baltus signed a two-year contract with the RW Racing GP team at the end of his first year in Moto3 with CarXpert PrüstelGP:
    “I didn't expect to arrive in Moto2 so quickly. I would like to thank Freddy Tacheny and Zelos for finding me a place at NTS RW Racing GP, and the team for their trust. Although I still have a lot to learn, I will do my best to progress as quickly as possible and I will give everything to get there. I also want to thank my family, my sponsors and my partners who have supported me since the beginning. »

 

  • Thomas Lüthi will join SAG Racing Team from Intact GP.

 

  • Tony Arbolino will replace him at Intact GP.
