Paolo Simoncelli, team principal of SIC58 Squadra Corse in Moto3, has confirmed his team's direction for the 2026 season, placing human values and rider support at the heart of its strategy, despite a difficult end to the season. And he announced: Noah Dettwiler will be the SIC58 rider in 2026.
Paolo Simoncelli made this significant announcement in a context still overshadowed by the events of Malaysian Grand Prix In Sepang. The Italian boss, father of the late Marco who lost his life on the same Malaysian circuit, publicly announced his commitment to the young Swiss driver:
« Dettwiler will be our driver in 2026, we're looking forward to it. »
This announcement takes on a particular significance following the serious accident of Noah Dettwiler during the Malaysian Grand Prix. Simoncelli recalled the ordeal the driver went through, just as the team was about to finalize his contract:

Paolo Simoncelli: “ Don't give up, Noah! The team is waiting for you. »
« As you know, Noah Dettwiler was involved in a serious accident… We were about to finalize his contract with O'Gorman. The road has been hard Double heart attack, loss of spleen, and many other difficulties. Don't give up, Noah! The team is waiting for you. »
The SIC58 team therefore maintains its commitment to Dettwiler, guaranteeing him a place in Moto3 for next season despite his recovery.
The team boss made no secret of his disappointment with the results of the last few rounds, describing the Australian and Malaysian weekends as "mistakes to forget": Australia: a point-less race, described as a "badly baked cake." Malaysia: a disappointing result, with its drivers failing to meet expectations. Simoncelli specifically targeted the lack of composure in its pilot Lunetta:
« Lunetta wanted to score by any means necessary: he was in a hurry, he was bursting with enthusiasm… and Enthusiasm has never been a good friendHe needs to learn to face things with a different, calmer enthusiasm. »
The structure for 2026 is now clear and focuses on stability: regular driver: confirmation of commitment Noah DettwilerSimoncelli wants to put in place a more stable structure after a mixed end to the season. But above all, he reaffirms the team's human values, support, and patience towards its drivers.
